Find great web pages wherever you are, then read them at home or on the go, even without an internet connection, on your Android powered tablet and phone.
Simply install the Instapaper app and download your unread articles when you have Wi-Fi or 3G coverage, then you can read them anytime: on the train, on the bus, in an airplane, at the bank, or in your favorite chair. (Goes great with coffee.)
Instapaper for Android has layouts built specifically for small tablets like Kindle Fire and Nexus 7, large tablets like the Motorola Xoom as well as most Android phones running 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) and up.
It's just $2.99, and it's a universal app for both phone and tablet with just one purchase.
Like the Instapaper web interface's Text option, the app downloads a mostly-text version of each page, using ideal formatting for maximum readability.
You don't need to zoom in to read the text. And you can't accidentally side-scroll when reading a long column.
Yes. Instapaper for Android is the official Android app and is developed & maintained by Mobelux.
If you're running Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) you should be good to go.
Absolutely. In fact, Instapaper for Android was made with special support for these devices.
Unfortunately, NOOK devices do not support the standard Android share menu so you must install a bookmarklet in your browser in order to save articles to Instapaper. In the Instapaper app, tap the settings icon and select the 'Install "Read Later" in Browser' row. Now, any time you're reading an article in your browser that you want to save tap the list icon in the upper-left corner and select 'Bookmarks'. Then simply tap the 'Read Later' bookmark.
Tap the share button in any app that supports the share menu and then tap Instapaper.
If you have issues running Instapaper on your device, email support and report the issue you're having along with the model and OS version of your Android device.
Pretty much. We believe that we've captured the core Instapaper experience but we're constantly looking at ways to make the app even better while still remaining a first-class Android citizen. All future updates will be free to existing customers who purchase Instapaper for Android.
One step at a time, folks.
